Are you looking for a trustworthy company for Handy man or to remodel your home, or business office? Let me introduce you to a company I trust: Bobs Remodeling and Handyman. I have investigated the practices and customer service of this business. As a result, I am proud to endorse Bob’s Remodeling and Handyman, and declare them Gephardt Approved.
Bob Bell began his career in construction as a 10 year old, working part-time for a contractor in California. “I started with jobsite cleanup, and as I got older, was trained in plumbing and electrical,” Bob says. “I became a journeyman plumber and electrician before I even graduated from high school,” he laughs.
After high school graduation, Bob tells me he moved to Utah to attend Westminster College on a partial scholarship, graduating with degrees in business management and sociology. When out of work one time, as a way to make money, he did some advertising in the local paper for handyman services. “I put the ad in the paper sort of on a whim, “ Bob explains, “and it really surprised me how fast my business took off.”
That was over 30 years ago, and he is still going strong today. Word of mouth referrals, he says, are his number one source for new customers. “We can do just about anything our customers want, as long as within code,” Bob tells me. Bob says it is this commitment to customer satisfaction that has earned Bob’s Remodeling and Handyman a number of commercial clients, including UPS, some national maintenance firms, and others. “Maintenance for business and homeowners, re-configuring offices, and remodel work is something we are very good at,” he says.
It was the desire to be able to meet all of his customer’s needs that led Bob to purchase a franchise for the Basement De-watering Systems, Inc., out of Illinois. “This unique system of drainage baseboards allows ground water that comes up through the foundation to channel through a specially installed baseboard system and into a drain, keeping carpet and walls perfectly dry,” Bob explains.
Bob says his employees share his commitment to excellence. “One has been with me for over 13 years, but they all take pride in their work,” he tells me. “I run a credit and background check on them before I hire them, for my customer’s peace of mind. I only hire employees that I would trust with a key to my home. But these are basically good handymen that are as committed to getting the job done right as much as I am.” Indeed, he says, customers call him again and again. “We get called to fix holes in walls that another company made on an installation, or some mess that a repair service made. I like that my customers know they can count on me to fix just about anything.” Bob says that they do more residential work than they do commercial. “People are not getting money out of their houses right now,” he says, “and so many homeowners are opting to remodel and make their current home work, rather than try and move. Whatever the case, we can help them.”
So, there you go: Bob’s Remodeling and Handyman. Now you know what our investigation has found about the company, you know about their approach to their customers, and the founder’s commitment to doing a quality job. Now you know why I trust Bob’s Remodeling and Handyman, and why I am proud to declare the company Gephardt Approved.
